Update:

Last night I experimented with different things. I took the PC out of it's
spot in my computer desk, and leaned it against the desk. I fastened the
power supply cable snake to maximize airflow. I also moved the firewire
card down abit to provide for more air around the graphics card. (Then I
took the pictures).

With all of the RAM, it seemed to go on for a long time. When I took the
512 M stick and played music, it only took a few seconds before it crapped
out. When I took out the 512 and put in the 1024 M, it did the same thing.
When I put the 1024 stick back in, so that both memory sticks were back in,
it seemed to go on for a long time. Then I shut it down and put it back in
it's spot inside the desk, and sure enough it crapped out while playing
music.

This time it did something a bit different. Only one screen went jagged,
and the other remained. In addition, the mp3 file I was playing continued
to be audible, but skipping indefinitely like a broken record on Monster
soda.
