Hello.
I have Suse9 running in a VMWare environment. I can ping out when I
log into Linux (google, for example), but I can't get a page to load
with firefox, konqueror, or w3m. Also I cannot use ssh to connect to
a server. Linux is set to DHCP.
In VMWare, from edit -> virtual network settings, VMNET0 is set to
the internal NIC: intel pro 100 ve, etc., which is not connected to
anything. Verizon wireless is set up using a PCMCIA card on my
laptop, and it is listed as a dial-up connection called "National
Access - Broadband Access" in "Network and Dial up connections". I
tried to change it to this connection from VMWare, but the specific
name for this connection does not come up.
Does anyone know how I can get VMWare to connect through the verizon
connection? I'm not ready to give up so easily since I spent the
weekend setting up the installation, and free weekends don't come
around to often for me. Thank you very much!
David
