After discussing the matter with the NTLUG board, I'm bring forth an
opportunity for someone who might enjoy leading up (coordinating)
our presence at Internet Security Seminar at the Plano Centre.
They are looking for some good presentations that are security focused.
A good opportunity to show how Linux fits into the enterprise as
a whole.
Send me a direct email if interested.
Here's the email from Dana Johnson about getting involved:
> Chris,
>
> My name is Dana Johnson and I sit on the Plano Technology Commission for
> the City of Plano. We are making plans for an Internet Security Seminar at
> the Plano Centre and I would like to see the open-source community properly
> represented. Do you think the NTLUG would be interested in being a Conference
> Partner in this endeavor (There is no money involved, we are interested in
> input for speakers, possibly some conference volunteer work, etc.)?
>
I told Dana that I would seek out a representative from the group to
lead this up (if approved) and put her in contact with that person.
Please give this opportunity your consideration and send me a direct
email if you want to lead this up.
