Well the plot thickens.....  Our vendor has come up with a newer
version API that will work under RedHat 8.0.  I seem to recall
that there were some serious flaws in RH8, and rather than messing
with 8.1, 8.2 etc they went straight to 9.  Does anyone else remember
anything about RH8 (good or bad)?
