Have them cat /etc/issue to see what version it is.
2.2.14-5.0 was a kernel for RH 6.2, but it is out of date. See http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=kernel&submit=Search+...&system=&arch= and search the page for 2.2.14-5.0.
