Yeah, I've been poking around www.debian.org looking for more details on
the proposed change, and it's been difficult to find specifics. (This may
be largely because I'm still quite unfamiliar with Debian's
`infrastructure' (for lack of a better word). It may be there; I just
don't know where to look. Pointers to the discussion would be
most welcome.
If the proposal is in fact a rumor, it's an unusually long-lived one that's
caught a large number of people up in it. I've been hearing about it for
several months now, from many different sources.
