I can not confirm that device3Dfx does agp.  I've scoured the web sites and
looked in the device3Dfx source.  And indeed I see no difference in speed in
Quake3 (which I expect to heavily use textures) using /dev/3dfx or not.   So we
wait until DRI improves...

so is AGP without DRI...PCI?

because I use XF3.3.6(with 3Dfx's 3.3.5-SVGA) and 2.2.16
am I stuck with a 33mhz video bus until XF4.0 and 2.4.x are stable?
