You didn't say if you had nfsd, mountd, and portmap running on the server and on
the client, nfs enabled in the kernel.
You also don't say what happens when you run exportfs.  That 2nd line looks
wacky.  You then have to restart nfsd &
mountd (depends on your exportfs).  Entries in /etc/hosts.allow & ~.deny affect
permissions.   You don't mention firewalls
or port redirections.  What does "mount -f -v ..." say?

I haven't solved this problem yet and thought I would ask again. I know
I have had this work before and I believe I am doing everything exactly
the same way this time. The only difference is different PCs.
