Saw that with dismay.

Bit of surfing brought up Fossify and QUIK SMS. There's some talk about 
Fossify not handling MMSs well, if at all. Have yet to try.

Now, once Samsung stops supporting its messaging up, but does not 
automagically remove it, then one could continue to use it until the end 
of times. Given that Android updates are few and far in between, and 
that Android's long-term support is underwhelming, as long as one 
doesn't get hit by an OS update, we might be good. Guess we'll find out 
in July. Or so.
