How does the VPS solution look at:

I am new to hosting but looking. I looked at A2 Web Hosting based on
the recommendations of a couple of technical Blog sites I read and admire.
The $2.95 per month for shared hosting looks very competitive. Being a
hosting novice I am not sure, except by painful experience, how to sort
out the good from the bad.
In my experience, low price is not everything and high price does not
guarantee QoS (Quality of Service). YMMV
