How and Why to Use OpenGL ES on the Raspberry Pi
We will try our first online meeting Wednesday night!
Clay Montgomery will present and demonstrate how to build and test a
simple OpenGL ES app on Raspian Embedded Linux. It's easier than you
think!
Clay will explain why OpenGL ES and OpenCL are the best routes to
exploit the power of GPUs on ARM SoCs today using open source
components, not only for 3D graphics, but for many compute-bound tasks
like computer vision, machine learning, crypto and data mining.
If you wish to follow along, please download the provided source code
and makefile and copy these two files to a bootable Raspian sd-card,
before the meeting begins:
