Just a FYI that:
Google is planning to phase out full support for Adobe's Flash software on
its Chrome browser by the end of 2016. (

Chrome isn't required for Hangouts:

and you can remove/uninstall before connecting to the internet:
To get rid of *Flash* on Google's browser take the following steps: Copy
and paste “*chrome*://plugins” into your search bar. Find the *Adobe Flash*
Player plugin. Click *disable*.
