does the user have any defrag software running? Like maybe O&O running in
the background or windows defrag or something? what about user file-system
issues? fs level file encryption or compression? is there a proxy involved
for the user? considered trying rsync? checked intensively for malware?
many viruses / trojans involve backscattering random data or manipulating
memory contents. it's possible the buffer could be compromised between the
read process and the transmit process. there's a few different things that
could be causing it. you've tried pretty hard on the server side, but i'm
not really expecting the issue to be server side since you've tried 3 and
other users aren't impacted. I wouldnt mind knowing what fs on the server,
normally recommending a journaling fs but as other users arent impacted, i
still dont suspect server side for root cause.
I've got an ftp server running vsftp. I have almost 200 users with 8-10 GB
