Very true, NetworkManager used to make a billion assumptions... now it's
probably down to only million or so :-)
Networking belongs in the hands of people that know what they are doing rather
than a program that does not know.
My own Network Manager "adverisement":
* Just plug it in and watch your whole network go down!
* See a list of networks that you can never connect to successfully!
* Amaze your friends with rudimentary networking that sometimes works!
* Use NetworkManager... if it works... it's a miracle!!
