Howdy,
  Do we have any OpenVMS users?  I am curious if it is likely that a
fortran program that ran on a VAX under VMS would run on OpenVMS.  I
assume compilation would be needed, at least, but hopefully not much
more.

 I saw an article on running OpenVMS under Linux and it looked
interesting.  HP supposedly will give hobbyists a free license.  But,
maybe that offer is expired.  I don't know.  I just read about it
tonight and have not followed up yet.  I thought I would ask here first
to see if OpenVMS was worth the effort to run OLD Vax programs.
