Just seen this..

DHCP is a Layer 2 protocol that acts like Layer 3. DHCP can be a difficult protocol to troubleshoot especially with Vlans (tagging) in a mixed data and VoIP environment. Different applications use different methods for troubleshooting options 176 (a.k.a. DHCP options 176 strings) for clients and servers. I use Wireshark/snoop to verify DHCP's operation.

That is fantastic.  Thanks, Preston.  I've been looking everywhere for
such a tool to diagnose/troubleshoot DHCP server setups.
