Installing the nvidia driver will create a new and usually appropriate conf
file.   You might try that... for your video.

I think the nv driver is the nouveau one. Right?  Hence the suggestion.

If everything is otherwise correct, you can just add the missing resolution
and restart X.  OpenSUSE has the sax2 utility which is VERY handy for fixing
xorg configs.
