I ran into an old (late 70s) co-worker recently who has had a 
rough go of it lately. He is retired, on soc sec and has had 
health problems which include the loss of his left leg.

He is in need of a computer since the one he has now runs 
Windows ME and is slow as molasses in January. He has a 
monitor so all he needs is the cpu part. I would like to get 
him something with at least a pentium 4 (or AMD equiv) and 
512MB of RAM. 

I will flush all old data from the hard drive... in fact, I 
will reformat the drive and load a fresh OS so there won't be any 
concern about personal data being compromised. 

Do any of you have an older computer sitting around that 
could go to a worthy cause? If so, please let me know.
