[NTLUG:Discuss] Thunderbird 3 - anybody else have comments?

Just to see what it was like I upgraded from Thunderbird 2.??? on
OpenSuse 11.2 to Thunderbird 3. Observations:

Thunderbird 2.??? wouldn't upgrade directly - probably due to
incompatible attachments (LookOut, Exif Viewer, HTML Temp). Enigmail is
compatible. Thunderbird did check for compatible updates to
incompatible add-ons. (I had elected to install Thunderbird 2 rather
than go with the pre-release candidate which came with OpenSuse 11.2.)

Used YaST and selected Upgrade packages, worked well - it appears that
the "Final" version was installed rather than the pre-release candidate.
Messages on the Web are indicating that upgrading on Vista is almost
the opposite experience.

There is now an "Add to Bcc" button which is nice.

Message preview can no longer be turned off via a function key as best
as I can tell.

Tabbed reading of messages but "new window" for writing.

Highlighting multiple messages produces two options: Archive and Delete.

Actions for attachments (Edit->Preferences, Attachment tab) seems to
have actions for more attachments but still no "Add" option.

There's an unusual new feature concerning attachments, every time you
key in attach* in your message you get a prompt asking if you want to
add an attachment to your message! Fortunately, this can be turned off
(Edit -> Preferences, Composition tab's General tab - "check for missing
attachments").

Tabbed message reading is a good thing because the message header is
shown with each email and, if that can be turned off, I haven't found
out how yet - the plus sign is gone.

The blinking windows in Thunderbird 2 seem to have disappeared so I
suspect this was an OpenSuse 11.2/Thunderbird 2 incompatibility.

I had Lightening installed but it no longer appears and isn't listed as
an incompatible add-on, not sure what's going on there.

These are the things I've discovered in the short time I've had it up,
anyone else have observations?
