I wouldn't say proprietary. Just different.
They only accept Windows Media in an anamorphic 480X480 resolution with
CCIR-601 oblong pixel format. They stretch that to 4:3 ratio on their
media server. If you can push Windows Media to a Windows Media Server
and you can match the format then I expect it would work.
