It is quite likely that I will end up doing a lot of experimentation
before I get it right. Fortunately, I can connect a USB hard drive to my
Dell mini 9 and install to that rather than using the SSD which is prone
to wearing out. Also, I am hopeful that I will be able to create a
cramfs partition to hold the installed applications and utilities rather
than running on the SSD raw. This would help prevent too many writes to
the media. A 16GB SDHC card will be used for the /home, /etc, /var and
whatever else may need to be writeable. I think that would make for a
more usable system.

Speaking of usable... what will I do with it? I'm still formulating that
in my mind, but I am thinking web, media playback, remote access and
VPN. type stuff and perhaps even email.
