For most general distros, this is rather trivial. You will just want to
ensure the packages for mail are installed, that there are pop, smtp,
imap or even web mail packages are installed and that the services are
running.
The real trick(s) are in how fancy you want to get in your lab with DNS
and MX records and the like. If you go straight IP, there will really
be no problem at all.
