It's actually sort of sad. Yesterday I was tasked
with trying to buy a replacement for a server
in France. If you go to Sun's site, it's like
a fire sale where they're trying to just clear out
what remaining inventory they have... very, very,
very sad. Worst part is that in order to get close
to the class of machine I need, instead of paying
$5K, I'll have to pay $15K. Alternatively, Sun
does have some of their 4+ year old servers still
for sale... but most of what they had over the
past 2-3 years is GONE. Very sad. I don't want
a V240... I want a V245.... gone....

Sun killed themselves in all fairness. We might
want to blame Linux, etc... but they had it all, and
they killed themselves. I wouldn't hire a former
Sun employee unless they could prove to me that
they left when they realized the company was trying
to commit suicide. I wouldn't hire Schwartz or
McNealy. They should retire so that business
in general can thrive.

Pathetic.
