It may have started out as a Mandrake/Mandriva spin-off but it has
evolved. It now uses apt for package install/management. I think there
are some other areas where it has moved away from rpm and chosen it's
own path. I have been working with it off and on and will some more
later when the school year ends and I don't have those pesky students
bothering me with their frivolous questions and their silly demands to
learn how to do something...oh, wait, that's why I'm here! Peace,
