Well, a raid-5 with two spares, but not necessarily RAID6....although
RAID6 sounds pretty good.

interesting.. Well I think it just has to last a month. (famous last
words...I know...temporary solutions have a bad habit of becoming
permanent.)

I'm reusing an 8-port 9500S which has available RaidType = { raid0,
raid1, raid5, raid10, raid50, single, spare }
I made a quick search for firmware upgrades for the 9500s-8 but didn't
find any. I may search more tomorrow.
