If you are running kde, digikam is a good one, for gnome you can try
f-spot. Also if you want to interact with the web, you could always
run Googles Picasa. Its fairly desktop independent and i do believe
they make binary packages for just about any distro. The others
interact with the web also, but i prefer to use googles picasa online
web albums.
