Howdy,
With HPLIP, my HP OfficeJet Pro L7580 works perfectly out of the box.
I prefer the SANE frontend to anything in Windoze and gscan2pdf is an
invaluable tool!
It is understandable that the low-end HP machine works fine. I'm sure
they all use the same chips to control them...
