You only may need to uncomment the lines that look something like these: (Or
add the lines to /boot/grub/menu.lst):
title XP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
it should work for you.
Just edit the menu.lst file and add those lines to the bottom,
You have to do it as root so bring up a terminal window and do
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
or
sodu kedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
and take out the # at the beginning of each line of the chainloader section.
or add the above lines to the bottom of the file and that should do the
trick.
