Try right clicking on the SuSE icon far right side of Task Bar , select
"Switch to Classic Menu Style".

Those functions tool-tips are Compiz controlled I think . If no Copiz-fusion
then go to "Configure Desktop" then "Desktop" check "Enable Desktop Effects"
.
As for the Task Bar auto hiding , don't think it does that in KDE4 yet .

I for one like the new KDE4 , there are several bugs but it is still
something of a work in progress , but that said I Have been using it from
the very start of it's release .
