[NTLUG:Discuss] terminal or SPM

This is both specific as to kde desktop and general as to SNP vs. terminal
If I go to SNP and search kde desktop which one do I choose and how do I know before the fact that I have one I need with its dependencies.
I assume the green box with red arrow is installed so what is white box with red arrow?
For those who suggest sudo apt-get install Kubuntu_desktop I get this

E: Couldn't find package Kubuntu_desktop
So before the fact on a given package is there a way to determine dependencies or how does one proceed
