Try to google "site:bugs.ubuntu.com kbd <laptop model>" where <laptop
model> is replaced by your laptop brand and name, i.e.

  "site:bugs.ubuntu.com kbd dell xps m1530"

would be my search.  I doubt it has anything to do with dual booting,
and everything to do with the brand of the laptop.  Some laptops just
plain do not work with Linux out of the box, but this is the first I've
heard of keyboard problems.
