[NTLUG:Discuss] eth0 died on reboot

1) Test the NIC with ethtool
   ethtool eth0

2) Set static IP and see if you can ping that IP  2b) See if you can ping
router
    ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.91
    ping 192.168.1.91
    ping 192.168.1.1

3) Try a live CD
  (...or USB)
