Run the 'ls' command next.
It will show you the contents of the current directory.

[root at hostilus] ~ $ ls
gallery-2.2.4-full.tar.gz     install.log
anaconda-ks.cfg              install.log.syslog
client-config-overrides.txt  mephisto-0.7.3.tar.gz
cpanel3-skel                 RPM-GPG-KEY.dries.txt
drupal-6.2.tar.gz            sys_scripts
[root at hostilus] ~ $ cd /
[root at hostilus] / $ ls
home        mnt
proc         var
bin          lib
boot         lost+found
opt            root
sbin        tmp
etc            usr
[root at hostilus] / $
