I just installed Opensuse 11.0 on my desktop. Everything seems to work great
except my digital camera (Canon Powershot SD1100) will not automount via the
USB connection. I just noticed that Chris working on an article for
hotplugging and as you can guess I am anxiously awaiting.
Here's what I do know and any adivce would be a great help.
1. Using command "lsusb" I can see that the camera is detected and I assume
connected to my suse box
2. Using hald debugger "lshal -m" I can in fact see that the hal is seeing
the device and recognizing it
3. No mount node found using command "fdisk -l"
I've tried the suse chat channel on freenode to no avail. I've tried the suse
forums and other linux forums. I'm getting nowhere. I did find out that I
can view and download picture files via DigiKam. That's a plus! Yet it would
be nice to have it automount though.
