I have a little home project brewing that will involve taking multiple
audio inputs (from several police/fire/aircraft scanners) and giving
each its own shoutcast/icecast type web output stream...
Has anyone (sucessfully) attempted such a thing?
It is my hope that I can put several ISA and PCI off-the-shelf audio
cards into a cast aside server and on reboot have Linux consistantly
assign the same /dev name to the cards. As long as I have a definate
set of /dev devices, I don't think it will be too hard to run several
instances of software to capture from a single device and stream it to a
particular port.
