Working on a [dual boot], Fedora8 install on:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.70GHz
MemTotal: 514964 kB
Disk /dev/sda: 40.0 GB,
Disk /dev/sdb: 30.0 GB,
  (it's IDE):

Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: ATA Model: ST340016A Rev: 3.10
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
Vendor: ATA Model: WDC WD300AB-00BV Rev: 21.0
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: _NEC Model: NR-7900A Rev: 1.08
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
  Vendor: PIONEER Model: DVD-ROM DVD-114 Rev: 1.24
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 05

Anyway:
Boot is slow showing repitions of stuff like:
Buffer I/O error on device sdb, logical block 7
I think it's a HD problem. Also says:
 ata1.01: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x0

Not sure what to make of it but looks like maybe the drives keep
bailing and the kernel keeps renegotiating the speed.
Anyone seen something like this? Have any clues what to do?
