[NTLUG:Discuss] Disk cleanup

My disk is filling up (surprise, surprise) and I'm looking to clean up
two known issues: yum "leftovers" and too many versions of the kernel (I
only have nine of them). However, when I look at 'man yum' the 'clean'
option seems to be an all-or-nothing proposition. I was hoping for
something like "clean all but the last update". I also know that I can
just delete old kernel variants and edit grub.conf/menu.lst but that
doesn't deal with all the files under /lib/modules.
Is there an easy, safe way to accomplish these tasks?
