On the wireless issue:
You could just plug it into a PC that you don't turn off and share it
over the network, (that way, it will be available to wireless AND
wired members of your LAN). Also: some wireless routers have a
printer port which is a good option because, [again], it will be
available to wireless AND wired members of the LAN).
