[NTLUG:Discuss] what IS the fine line between RAID 0+1 and RAID10

So what fundamental piece of information am I missing that allows me to
understand why RAID-10 is different from RAID 0+1? They both seem to
LOOK the same according to http://www.acnc.com/raid.html but yet the are
supposedly functionally different?

I'm missing a concept. What is it?

What would one call a setup where two disks are SPANNED together

DiskA
  +
DiskB
=====
Total disk space

.and then where each of the disks have a disk that mirrors it..

DiskA = Mirrored_DiskA
      +
DiskB = Mirrored_DiskA
====================
Total disk space

That REALLY looks like a set of RAID-0 drives were just mirrored a la
RAID-1.
