If I remember correctly, this product was advertised to a school 
technology group as being a way to make computers, desktop and laptop, 
theft proof.  One of the main tech people begged to differ with the cto 
of safeboot, and was told by him that even booting from the cdrom and 
installing another system would not circumvent safeboot since part of it 
was in the BIOS and could phone home if tampered with.  I think all of 
the tech people on the mailing list agreed that it could be defeated by 
booting to windows with a BART-PE disk and reflashing the BIOS.  Other 
than that, using a live cd is about all you can do and then you can't
