[NTLUG:Discuss] OT:Has anyone else been getting the Linux-oriented subject line spams?

I have.

I assume it is because I have posted in orientated mailing lists, and
some vile spammer out there is harvesting mail archive available online
some place, or subscribed to some of them and harvesting the messages.

I can only think they are just rubbing our noses in it, as people that
participate in those kind of forums, are NOT going to be falling for
some email spam/scam.

Otherwise, they have come up with some reasonably sophisticated harvest
contextual content generation, which again wouldn't surprise me. There
are some clever people out there working on the dark side of the internet :/
