[NTLUG:Discuss] Oracle on Intel

Fred,

If you are trying to stay with a free distro, you may consider running Centos instead of Fedora. Centos is pretty much a clone of RH. Fedora generally uses newer kernels, etc that Oracle may have problems with.

I am running Oracle on RH here, and I seem to recall Oracle being quite picky during installation/setup on versioning.

It's been a few years back though...

Good Luck.

Monty

All
I know one can run Oracle (supported) on RedHat ... can one run Oracle on Fedora? Any experience on this?
Regards
Fred James
