It's been my experience that when YUM
starts unexpectantly not working..that someone must be updating/changing
the repo and I just need to wait and try again later.

Trying to
go to those sites in a browser and see what gets returned that way -
that's how I found out a Repo had stopped supporting a legacy OS and they
had instructions on the site on where to go.
