Hmmm.. they didn't manage it too well. I know we who were on
Comcast and are now Time Warner/Roadrunner had (probably) a
better transistion.

Frustrating they didn't say anything, but this is usually a good
thing. I know I liked it when my provider started supporting
secure pop (and imap) and smtp.

This is pretty typical. Today we discovered a bug in our PeopleSoft
purchase requisition system where a date field of the form MM/DD/YYYY
was set to a field length of 9 instead of 10. Firefox of course
wouldn't allow more than 9 characters (duh), but under MSIE (even v7)
it graciously overflows the field. :) Our F&A team refuses to apply
a fix since MSIE is the company's only "supported" browser
(overflow-a-rama). Sigh... I feel for you. But... I'll admit
I don't think Ffox and Tbird are support by my provider, but I use
them just the same.
