[NTLUG:Discuss] Netscape Quality Checker or something like that

I downloaded Firefox and Thunderbird recently and began using them.
Tonight this Netscape Quality thing popped up for no apparent reason.
It supposedly offered the opportunity to cancel but not only was that
conveniently grayed out, I couldn't kill it by clicking the X or
File->Exit. Fortunately the KDE ProcessTable application was able to
kill the 'talkback' process. I found two 'talkback' executables:
/opt/firefox/extensions/talkback at mozilla.org/components/talkback and
/opt/thunderbird/extensions/talkback at mozilla.org/components/talkback (it
did pop up a second time a very short while after the first instance).
What I'm wondering now is if I have Spyware installed. Anybody know
what this is and whether it's harmful. If not I'm seriously thinking
about looking into configuring IPTables to block outbound transmissions
to Mozilla.org and fullcirclesoftware.com.
