[NTLUG:Discuss] OT: Complete DHCP Via Switch/Hub/Router

OK, here's the situation.  We want to improve VOIP performance by 
removing the LinkSys router from the setup.  The router is only there to 
provide DHCP service to the 48-port switch for the phones.  Problem is 
that it has to be the gateway as well since the firmware defaults to the 
router IP being the default gateway when supplying DHCP.  What I would 
really like is a device that would supply the DHCP service without 
forcing itself into the route.  I could do this with a Linux box (my 
first choice), but I was wondering if someone knew of another device 
that would do the trick.
