[NTLUG:Discuss] another strange problem

OK, y'all were so good to me last time, here's your chance to really
shine. I have been looking for this irritating problem which I think
it is probably some configuration issue,,, anyway, if I am logged in
as me and I am reading my mail and I click on a link, Firefox comes
up not with the link in the address window but the cache file. Here's
an example:

URL: http://www.backwoodshome.com/humor/salutetofrance.html

What Firefox is looking at: 
file:///var/tmp/kdecache-fred/krun/13231.0.salutetofrance.html

If I am logged in as a different user, it works just fine.

System: Suse 9.1, mail client: kmail 1.6.2, KDE 3.2.1

I have used the KDE control panel, looked into every config, ini and
rc file that I could find, done diffs between my files and the other
user's and so far, no solution. Since it is that hard to find, it
must be really simple and obvious.
