[NTLUG:Discuss] Custom training..

Does anyone out there know of someone..or some group that does custom
training..

I find that I want to learn how to do 'stuff' and I don't feel like
going the slow/long route at a community college... and I also don't
have the time and calmness to work through some of the issues I'm
having. From general usage like creating icons on the KDE menu (start
menu in Windows), to concept issues like LDAP and how the heck it works
(maybe as related to say....NDS [Netware Directory Services]), and even
Postfix installation...well implementation and even implementation with
LDAP.

I have a HUGE block with databases. I don't know why I have such a hard
time with them, but I know I need to get over them. Simple mysql
database setup and even some basic web posting (I DO know some cgi/perl
scripting)

Anyway... I just need to get with someone who already knows the ins and
outs the intricacies and the pitfalls of different packages.

I have to say..that I like doing most of my stuff on Slackware. Yes
it's more complicated at times, but I find it very stable..and when I
learn how to do something...dang it..I learn how to DO it. Most of what
I do is compiled from sources. After a particularly BAD day with
RedHat RPMs one day...I pretty much swore off RH. I know that MUCH has
improved these past years...but.... I'm a slacker.

Anyway... if anyone does or knows of someone/someplace that does
personalized training, I'd like to get with them.

As an afterthought......If I'm going to be paying for this...I wonder if
it would be beneficial to setup a meeting place where others could
attend.. I guess it would be like an NTLUG meeting on steroids...only
directed TOWARDS me with others participating.

I need help guys..and I know I'm gonna have to pay for it....
