[NTLUG:Discuss] root password in Knoppix

With normal Knoppix the root is deliberately scrambled so you use sudo.
However, from the console you can reset it - which the instructions on the
opening page instruct you to do before starting ssh.
If that's what's laid down on the hard drive, then use the root shell option
in the menus and then do a passwd cmd.

Thanks for the clue. That will make it easy. But I can tell you that your
last suggestion, that the password is blank, does not work -- at least on my
Quantian version of Knoppix. I tried that one as my first guess at the
password.
