Howdy,
  It probably is related to the mouse emulation being done by the KVM
being a little different from what your mouse drivers expect.  If you
tell FC3 to redetect the mouse, you might be OK.  Do what Chris
suggested first.  That should cause your FC3 box to initialize the mouse
properly, no matter what it thought it needed to do on bootup.  If that
doesn't work, then try running the hardware wizard.
